If My Child’s Teeth Aren’t Yet Ready For Braces?

ALL CHILDREN SHOULD HAVE AN ORTHODONTIC EXAM BY AGE 7, because there are dozens of problems which can develop from that time until around age 13 when the last adult teeth come in. Many times Dr. Tom determines that a child is not yet ready to begin orthodontics, in which case we will place your child in our Pre-Orthodontic Guidance Program for fun and easy exams once every 6 months as your child grows. Since the timing of orthodontic treatment is essential, this Program allows us to monitor your child’s jaw growth and bite development to best choose the most appropriate age to begin.

Our Pre-Orthodontic Guidance Program includes all of the examinations, necessary x-rays, photographs, and prescriptions for removal of baby teeth, if indicated . . . All at no charge to you.
